Localhost not working

Hello,

I literally did everything the tutorial told me to do but when i type in 'localhost' it's just not working.
It's giving the google error: 'Site can't be reached'.

Yes, i have XAMPP installed and i do have 'Apache' and 'MySQL' enabled.

Please help

NVM I GOT IT IT WAS BCS MY PORT WAS 8080 AND IT HAS TO BE 80

Even if your hosting a retro on your computer for development or whatever, it's best to use IIS.
it's just easier imo and i never run into issues.

Go into your control panel, select programs and features.
Select "turn windows features on or off" Expand world wide web services, then expand Application Development and security.
Under "Application and Development Features" select ASP.net everything else will be selected once you select that.
Select basic authentication under security.
Click ok and let it install.
