Laravel - A few Questions.

Hey, so I've started to laravel and want to know a few things:
1- How can I create operators like {{ hotelname }} and such?
2- How can I load css? I tried {{asset('/assets/css/bootstraap.min.css')}} (file's name is bootstraap yes) and it returns 404. Link that returns is localhost:8000/assets/css/bootstraap.min.css and there is css file there, so I don't understand what's wrong.

It was in resources/assets/.
 
Edit: Error on console is net::ERR_AED.

All assets (images, css files) have to be in the "public" folder.
