For anyone looking to use @Quackster's Kepler emulator, I've find a tool which really helped when it came to editing the database;
Be sure to shutdown the emulator (holding ctrl then press c) before making any edits to the database.
Once you've made the required changes restart the emulator (. /Kepler)
