(this is about minecraft & bukkit server software)
Is there a way that you could, instead of using whitelist.txt file, make it read from a file on a website?
Such as the whitelist plugin how it reads the users from whitelist.txt
How could i make it so it can read from a different text file?

If you had the source of Bukkit yes
You can also use the Minecraft Coder Pack to decompile the Minecraft Vanilla server and edit it around

Well you can make plugins and stuff, i was wondering if there was a way to do this with a plugin
