My Old PC i wanna turn it into a server to host videos it has 1 or 2 GB of ram and 2 Hard drives​

One with 320GB and another with 120GB​

I was thinking to just run xampp and place videos in the htdocs ?​

Should i try this or is there no point in trying?

Well, I don't recommend it but its worth a try.

Depends how much bandwidth you have. I think I personally have 1000GB bandwidth.

I wouldn't recommend to use a windows pc for hosting, why don't you install Centos and kloxo panel.
More secure than running xampp on a windows pc, and it will be faster too.
