Is it necessary to set your time back on your computer?

I read a tutorial somewhere that said I needed to set the year to 2010. I also think this could be the problem with my facebook because its acting up on my browsers.

It keeps asking about the security certificate, so I trusted the site and went on but FB still doesn't look right,
