Does anyone know where I can get IE 6, preferably virus-free?

I don't think anyone actually has an install for IE, I'm pretty sure once M$ started advertising IE they made an install for it but any other way you'd have to install a virtual machine and install whatever version of windows came with it. I'm assuming this is the only way since I'm sure you've already googled.
