How to mute/ignore someone in the DevBest Chat Box?

Without naming the user in question, I realized that someone I had once set to "Ignore" via hovering over the user's name is still visible in the shitbox. I was hoping that I could pretend they didn't exist after hitting that button, is it possible to link the two together, so that users you ignore are automatically ignored in the chatbox? Or is another option required?

I've already gone to their profile and selected the Ignore option, as far as I know that's all I can do?
