How to get Shockwave to run in Mac OSX?

I don't care what version as I have hardware that supports all current versions of OS X. So far I've gotten to the login page, but I think some kind of firewall is blocking shockwave from allowing it to connect, where in windows when you first connect it asks you if you want to allow the movie to make connections but in OS X it never does that.

Any ideas? I managed to do it by running an old version of firefox as well as some fucky shit with Safari
