How can I change my IP?

Hi,

So I'd like to change my IP but it won't let me. I use to be able to change it by shutting router and reopening or by using CMD and then typing the ip config shit.

Now even when I try to pull out cords and power from the router and leave it off for a few minutes it won't work.

I have...

• The latest iMac with the latest OS.
• Netgear N300 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router
• Telecom NZ ISP.

Not wanting to be un-IP'd from games.. it's just that I like changing IP's every month or so for security purposes.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you can't do it with CMD or by unplugging your router try calling your ISP and they'll help you change it.

Oh god. The last time I talked to my ISP via phone was some indian guy who couldn't even English.

Because I didn't want to call my ISP? No shit I could phone them but no, there has to be another way.

Telecom NZ do not allow you to change your IP. Friend is on same ISP and he rang them and spoke for ages and they will not.
