Skyrim does have a mod available to become multiplayer, but it is not official
So im presuming Elders Scroll Online will be the alternative to Skyrim Online
The current trailer is pretty shit, but the artwork looks alright, hopefully newer trailers are released soon
You can play single player online or join with friends to form a guild and play through the story together.

How does multiplayer work?
Players can choose to join together in small adventure groups or large communities such as guilds. As part of a group you can work together to solve quests, head into epic battles or fight for the throne of Tamriel.
Multiplayer is an important part of our player versus player (PvP) option as well. The Elder Scrolls Online contains a massive PvP war in Cyrodiil. Three Alliances face off in an epic battle over Tamriel’s throne in the Imperial City. Forge alliances, storm fortresses, and overtake your foes as all of Tamriel joins the battle to become the emperor!
Basically upon registration we will choose 1 of 3 guilds to be apart of (all 3 guilds fight for control over the main city)
When the game is live, anybody fancy joining the same guild & going our seperate ways on a quest and taking over what we can along the way?
