Hey,

I'm going on a European trip next year, and I will be 16 at the time. Could you tell me the Drinking ages of Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and France? I've tried google but there are so many unconfirmed sourced. Devbest has a wide variety of people (Around the world), so I thought you guys could answer. (Please have a source or someone to back this up) :)

Thanks.

Germany - 16 for beer, wine and cider and 18 for spirits.
Italy - 16.
Switzerland - 16 for beer, wine and cider and 18 for others.
France - 18.

Found this also: exactly the same as I stated.

I aint too sure on the drinking ages, but from previous experience i have been served under 18.
France - I went when i was 16 & 17 & 19 (not sure on the age limit)
Italy - I was 15 (got served with parents when having a meal) also went when i was 20
Germany - I was 16 (school trip, we got served in a shop and snuck it back to hotel room)
Switzerland - Never been

All of the above i never got asked for ID

Italy - Drink anything you want, it's legal:
Germany - You can drink like Beer and Wine:
Switzerland - Same as Germany:
France - You're fucked, unless you have a pretty nice ID/club has little security/you pay to go in: Experience*

*: I could go in, when you're inside it's easy to order a drink.
