If you saw a website name such as hmnik.com
Would it appeal to you?
HMNIK is a shortened down version of Hello My Name Is Kyle (just an example)

I have seen some sites do this, but are they easy to remember? In terms of remembering the 'full name' and using the first letter of each word to access the site

This isn't a debate, just personal opinions/thoughts

It depends entirely what the letters are. If it was something like "MOAIWEBT" then it would look stupid and wouldn't exactly be easy to remember. However, if it was something like "HDMK" then yeah, I think that's fine.

I don't necessary think they look good, I think a real word would be better. (kylekaz.org) etc

To make it more simple

I have 2 options
a 5 letter .com or a 4 letter .biz
The full wording of the 'shortened down version' is 27 characters

What are the actual domain? If you're willing to share.

If it has some meaning then it'll help remember but the majority of the time, people remember words that stick easier. I'd say the easier to remember domains are those that are quick and snappy or original.

Nah not gonna say as its just an idea atm

The 5 letter is CCVVC.com (Vowel & Consonant)
The 4 letter is CCVV.biz

Its easy to remember both ways, especially if it's something they enjoy

The 4 letter is CCVV.biz
Out of those two I prefer CCVV.biz - It's shorter and I think I'd remember that one a lot easier than the CCVVC (even though it's one extra letter)

HMNIK isn't something I could see a lot of people remembering easily.

Yeh only problem is that its a .biz domain haha

That was an example lmao
Just something to base the question off

Ah, my bad. I guess it's just depending on the situation. I guess something like the example you gave would be easier to remember if the site featured a graphic/logo that made it easier if you get me? Like a confusing name is easier to remember if you have something to assign it to.

CCVV.net
CCVV.org
CCVV.pw
or anything you prefer, instead of using CCVV.biz
CCVV isnt the actual domain btw they stand for Vowel & Consonant

Majority of the top level domains are taken
stuff like co.com/uk.com don't interest me
.co is available but i fell they havent taken off as well as expected

Oh, sorry.
I think that .co looks better than .biz though, personally.
Maybe you could buy both .co and .biz and have them forward any traffic to the same site?

Personally, I don't think it's that good of an idea. Unless you make it clear what the initials mean to the user, it's just a bunch of jumbled letters that will be hard to remember. The same effect will happen to people who see the domain, but never visited it before.

Yeh it's one of them, just a thought atm/planning
From experience and some research on google its quite popular but nothing online based to give it the creativity it can have

O yeh thats what i intend to do, say for example it was being advertised here
It would be addressed as the full name and noted that the shorter version is there
