DevBest started as a tiny community with an odd 30-100 people. We were still a sub-domain of TheHabbos. Then, Retroa or Krypos (I forget which one) Thought of a new name for us. Well, Rasta Got the TLD "http://devbest.com" and all was well. The community wanted a change not to long after. So in September, Rasta bought us a vBulliten Liscense. He also built a plugin that transfered all of our info from myBB to vB (Thanks, Rasta!). Then we moved on from there with a shiny new software program! We started getting a steady flow of new users. About 3 a week. Some of these users are still active today. Some gave out along the way, and some posted once or twice and haven't been seen since. But as of now, we are down to only a few of our original members, as most have been banned, or have quit for unforseen reasons. They are now being replaced by inactive users who don't really care about DevBest at all. Do you think that DevBest is falling apart? I really don't know. We have a good story behind us, but it could end the wrong way...

First off, I'm the one who came up with the domain "DevBest.com".

Secondly, a majority of the original users are still here - I don't know what you're talking about. Also, very few people have been banned from the forums (less than ten). The forums are also more popular than ever (aside from winter break).

My opinion, i only joined in November i think it was, i had a browse around when it was just a 'sub' of TheHabbos.
Then i decided to join, it seemed a good community, somthing that wasnt big like rz or os where you would be a small fish in the sea.

Active members are active memberss, obviously the regulars are here day in and day out and others we see at various times across the week.
We do have alot of members each with different timezones (mostly US i'd take a guess at) but still we do clash at certain times of the day (morning/night across the timezones) bringing the active members up more.

Devbest isnt really falling apart, we just need more active members, contributers and new ideas to keep us growing and to give the 'guests' a reason to join instead of leeching and not joining us

Couldn't agree with you anymore on that, sounds about right to what I would of written the forums is not POPular but it's a great community and people come here to post and not be a small fish (thanked).
