Debug Support please

Hey guys i added custom commands to my boon plus emulator, i was told to debug it im not going to lie i have never ever debugged a emu in my life lol :/ but i turned emu off and back on and didn't work? can someone link me to a tut on how to debug the emulator thanks guys =]
