DDos protection

Hi well i am in need of free DDos protection. If anyone knows how to stop it that would be great but someone took my site down so i need help.

Block their IP's via htaccess. Or give the IP DoS'ing you to your hosting for them to secure it. (Note: Make sure to take a backup of all illegal files if you have any)

DDoS is a serious thing you might overcome that very carefully..
