Computer Science Degree

Hello! So I have a few questions and concerns about "Computer Science"

I'm hoping to go into Computer Science for 4 years at a University and what I've been told is that certain college's curriculum is way off the board and that you will only learn very little programming while you're inside of the classes you take. What is your guys suggestions to get more knowledge with programming preferably Java, C++ and I'm going to be going into Game Development.

Programming pretty much forms the basis of modern CS degrees. You'll almost definitely learn Java during the course of your degree - C++ is also taught, but some universities/colleges teach C++ in depth whereas some do not.
