So as I used Bitcoin quite a lot some time ago, I had no problems with transfer fees on there whatsoever. Currently I still have 0.00049168 BTC on it, around 8$. However I can't even transfer it to my Bittrex wallet, because the transfer fees are around 15$. Anyone know any solution for this?

I would sell it on Coinbase, you'll lose about $1 as a fee, then buy ETH, lose another $1 then use to convert the ETH to BTC, but use your new wallet as the receiver.

ETH should be less than $1.

Use coinbase to buy BTC, transfer to Gdax for free, and then transfer from Gdax to HitBTC. You save a couple bucks, seriously.

This is if you want to buy Alt Coins on HitBTC.

FYI. Fees are only high due to the fact that BTC is fucked. Even Bitpay and other larger exchanges have either -
  • High fees
  • Custom fees (let you choose how much to pay, and guide you on the timescale).
This is just due to the mining fees, screw BTC for the time being.
