The ChromeBook is a Notebook which runs on ChromeOS made by google.

"A new type of computer designed to help you get things done faster and easier."

"No annoying updates. Nothing complicated to learn. Boots in seconds. Comes with your favorite Google apps. The Chromebook makes a great additional computer for getting things done, for sharing around the home, for everyone."

I was wondering if I should get one for basic web needs. I just need a few more opinions on this.

If all you do is browser based, then It would be a great thing for you, as it loads supremely fast, everything is stored online and it's all you need if you are a browser'er

SeanDavies is correct.
If you want to do web based stuff then get a chromebook. Don't expect it to play minecraft and host retros.

I had one of these for a week, it was the cheapest one they had. I loved the shit out of it. It's a bedside machine perfect for watching porn, yelling at other people and other stuff like that. Instead of buying a $400 bloated Dell, get one of these.
