I'm actually not thinking about earning money with it at the moment. But if we do, of course they will get a percentage of profit.

No one is going to help you if you don't give specifics on what the game will be about. Don't say it'll be by scratch, tell us the idea you have. If you don't, no-one will help you. Does it really take 4 people to ask you?

Knowing if your game is 2D or 3D will be important if you manage to find a designer. 2D designers usually don't do 3D designs and vice versa. That's a whole different ball park.

You can download free packs online (just google free video game sprites). I'd suggest using those until you get a beta and can actually appeal for a designer to help with your project. Good luck though, I've had projects with hundreds of users daily and the good designers never work for free. The more popular the game, the higher the $ expectation.
