Linux is cheaper, however if your not good with linux commands your best off using windows

Depends if you're good at Linux commands, if you actually want to see everything visually Windows Server 2008 (64 bit because you can allocate more than 1gb ram)
If you can do Linux commands by heart, and you don't mind the big hassle of not really being able to see anything, and when you try and edit something it's a pain in the ass too.

Thank ya guys for the speedy reply, I'll use a tutorial or pay someone to make me one on Linux , I made one on a windows 2008 server and it was so leggy it was unplayable
