About to open my retro to the public, but I need some tips..

About to open my retro.
My biggest fear is constantly DDoS, because the Danish retro community loves to use their small booters on other retros. Currently, I'm not running on a very strong VPS.. fuck.. But still, I'm going to do my best to keep it up.

I got a few problems tho:

• I can't hide my IP from the source code. Because if I use

  - my client won't work. Only if I insert the IP instead of the domain! Which annoys the fuck out of me.
• Running KiwiGuard (just to filter SOME attacks) but guess what. That program doesn't pick up ANYTHING at all. I had a few of my friends DoS'ing and DDoS'ing my server and none of the attacks got picked up.
• What the fuck should I do to prevent DDoS attacks?

I'm able to pay $20 (less preferred) for something. Need the whole domain or 3 ports (80,30000,30001).

I'm so confused. Hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Oh yeah - and other tips are welcome as well.

As I already see it happening: keep in mind that private support is against te Section Rules, and all forms of private support will be punished. Just help him trough this thread.
