Kind of thinking of getting back into the scene for something to past time, not sure. I'm curious, is everyone still using RevCMS + PlusEMU for their hotels? Is Habbo/Retros reviving themselves yet?

The new standard is brain/plus or brain/arcturus, ive just released a laravel cms for arcturus so im hoping more people will adopt it.
theres currently
5 retros on findretros using goldfish/arcturus
7 using plus/rev
1 using brain/plus
2 using brain/arcturus

as far as i can tell

habbo or retros arn't dead, people like to say they are but they definetly arn't - dead means nobodies plays them at all :)

Plus + Rev, I was using Plus + Brain, but then I swapped because I wanted to go back to my old style.

Only the OGs use Plus Emulator, newer hotels use Arcturus because it already has everything on it basically, the problem is it's coded in Java.

y’all keep saying plus/rev but he said Is Habbo/Retros reviving themselves yet?

plus/rev hotels are very unpopular as most still use the default habbo theme.

plus many users are ditching hotels that use revcms because of Cloud Hotel exploiting their users.

i wouldn’t use rev, brain possibly but there’s also known exploits in both cms’ popular hotels use their own cms or “ubercms” cough @ fresh

if you’re going to come back, do it differently rather than everyone else still stuck on rev/plus

no offence y’all but it’s getting old

Uhm? I'm not sure what you're on about. Plus/Rev hotels are dead? I don't think CMS or emulator choice has to do with a hotel being dead, it has to do with the community. My hotel does fine in BETA, averages 25+ players every day. Hablush gets 40+ players every day, under the most popular retros. Vertex is getting up there, having almost 20 users daily and they just opened. The hotels I can name that use Plus Emulator and RevCMS are doing well in my opinion. And like I said before, every hotel is overusing Arcturus Emulator these days because it has everything already coded into it, requires little to no effort to have camera + other things working. Personally, Plus Emulator is the way to go if you can't code Java, and RevCMS is a decent CMS if you optimize it to your needs and wants. I'd rather see people bringing back the Habbo theme and Plus Emulator from 2016 than to keep multiple hotels on FindRetros page 1 overusing Arcturus emulator with 0 of their own additions to it, just the out-of-box additions.

Also, he asked about people's emulator and CMS choices as well, not just if retros were reviving themselves and I guess most people decided to answer the question about emulator and CMS choices, ignoring the next question.

OT: Regarding your last question about retros reviving themselves, there's a lot of threads on this topic, I'd suggest you read there, seems to me like everyone just keeps re-writing the same thread over and over.

i only prefer brain over rev because it's more secure, i started with rev and it still is and always will be my favourite cms (gives me old classic habbo vibes) and i customized the most on my rev, even though i probably will never go back to rev it's an easy starter

The English scene has been pretty dead for some time now. Only active hotels are either French, Brazilian, Spanish I would say Turkish but that's dying slowly too.
I recommend making a Laravel website and using a Bootstrap Layout. It wouldn't take that long. For Emulator I personally would go with Plus Emulator however if you want to open quicker and not constantly waste your time to Emulator then Arcturus Morningstar is a good choice. However I still recommend Plus Emulator you can go with Revision 3 which has been cleaned and works pretty normal for me. But some people claim it has couple of bugs. If you went through the code again you would probably find them.

Plus Emulator + LaravelCMS with a Responsive Layout is the best combination for a hotel.

If you want open source, just use morningstar, an arcturus fork. Other than that everyone can setup plusemu, probably even more easy just to setup. If you take a look at the two most updated hotels out there, Habboon and NextGenHabbo and we only talk about features and function, not owners how they run their hotel bla bla, NGH beats everything with use of the plugin system.

A lot of people are favouring the Arcturus/Morning Star releases as they're in active development. People still use a wide variety of emulators and CMS' you'd have to play around with a few and see what you like :)

As for the community, yes, it's dead as it's ever been imo.
