I think that's the problem, I think He has replaced http://localhost removing the localhost and replacing with http://http://IP so I would suggest him to remove the extra http:// and try that first if it still doesn't work then try changing the port.

However the port he place must be Portforward I guess.

Try changing your "connection.info.port" : "300" To "Connection.info.port" : "30000" And btw have you checked your variables?

Just go to users table in database then click the user you want to change password then change.

Try offing firewall in vps.

Have you got the backup of the whole thing?

Have you got the index file? If Yes try to replace with a new index file. If no insert one.
