BBC uses NodeJS, Python and Java. They might be using Laravel within a few services. Companies like these can't just rely on Laravel for television & radio broadcasting.Pretty sure Spotify uses Django. Again there is a combination of languages within this service too.I'm not sure about Slack but I heard they too use Java and other combinations.Big companies most of the time will not rely on just PHP. Always in every big project they have some sort of combination of languages. They might use PHP within this combination but that does not mean that the service is completely using it.Anyway let's not get off topic.
