CamStudio. Well HyperCam is much better than it, and if I'd choose between each recording softwares I'd go for HyperCam.

I always used Camtasia. Depends on what your goal is, but you can also try LiveStream? Note: You'd be streaming live to a website (whatever your livestream URL is), but there's the option to save your livecasts to your hard-drive, in fact it's enabled by default.
