When you spend $30 you're supporting the developers during Early Access (it's still in alpha), so there is lots of bugs, if you're prepared to play with these bugs then go ahead but I'm having a blast, I bought it in mid-June and I have 60+ hours on Steam and it's been money well spent for me. Not to mention, the game is horribly optimized (I'd assume they'd optimize it in future) because as of right now alpha is just the feature adding stage, my $500 computer can only get to 25-30 fps on everything on low, it isn't game breaking. If you want to play a quality zombie game, DayZ would be the way to go, because; 1) It's the original zombie survival game, nothing can beat it. 2) The developer, Rocket (Dean Hall) fell in love with his game and has a passion for it. 3) The game used to get lots of criticism for lack of updates, however since I bought it development has sped up really, really fast. 4) The independent game company (Bohemia Interactive) developers interact with the users on Reddit. 5) The inventory system is fucking awesome! (Drag and drop) also there is clothes everywhere so you can chose how your character looks.
