WAMP Help

Ok so I setup my wamp server to run XenForo but when I changed my MySQL password I get the following error on PMA: "

Error

MySQL said:
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server."

So I went into PMA config.inc.php and replaced $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = ''; with $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'MYMYSQLPASSWORD'; however i'm still getting the same error. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

Hmm, so shared hosting? Will this have all the necessary software needed to run XenForo?

As nyancat said, get a web host, you can get a cheap decent one for as little as £5 a month and less.
Also regarding your other thread about the emails, the benefit of having cpanel is that it has SMTP already so no need for external software to send emails to members
