Never get staff?
No need to fear - Delirious is here!
Follow these steps correctly, and you'll be sure to receive a rank on a hotel!
Step 1: Picking a hotel

  1. Always go for a hotel that has a lower user count - ranging from 5 - 30 users online.
  2. Always make sure the hotel is on 'IIS 7.5' with licensed Phoenix and running all on a nice VPS.
  3. You don't NEED this detail, but it would be nice for it to have a professional paid domain, not anything like .zapto.org or anything.
  4. Also make sure the hotel has a stable economy and has self-hosted swfs for customs, and that it's on a secure CMS without exploits.
  5. Make sure the owner(s) are experienced in the retro world, and can maintain a active and professional hotel.
Step 1: First impressions

  1. Pick a rare name, it's a retro - no need to add numbers or anything! Put it as a regular word, not coolman0193524 or anything like that.
  2. Be kind, but don't seem anxious - or else the owner(s) will think you're a big kissup, and no one likes a kissup.
  3. Compliment the hotel to the owner(s) - but try not to sound like a kissup!
Step 2: Impression

  • Look
Be sure to have a good nice look, and have good grammar!

Example: (You don't need to copy the look, but put something along the lines of it)

  • Grammar
Grammar is very important as an impression, but don't go around putting capital letters after every word, here's some examples of common grammatical errors and fixes to them.

Many people think capitals after every letter is grammar, but it's not. And you don't need to put a " ' " mark after every word that's in plural, that's only claiming possession over something or saying (word) is. Like "that's" means "that is." So saying "I love retro's" is incorrect, because you're saying that the retro is taking possession over something. Also, another common error is the difference from your to you're. Saying "your dumb" for example is incorrect, you're means you are, and your is saying "your bike" or something. So "you're dumb" is correct, the other method isn't.

Step 3: Age
I don't recommend you try to get staff if you're under 12 years old, and being 12 itself is a bit iffy, because others mature more than other people at 12 years old. Age defines your maturity and your understanding, and it effects a lot on your first impression by the way you speak. So if you're 11 or younger, or you know you're a bit immature at 12 - I don't recommend you'd attempt to be staff.
Step 4: Attitude
Your attitude reflects on how owners think about you, and if you're walking around cursing in an angry way or getting mad at people who ask for staff (which is a thing you should stop if you're doing it now, because asking for staff won't get you anywhere) owners won't want to make you staff, they might even ban you from being tired of your attitude. Just make friends, become a loved person - you know how to make friends!
Step 5: Country
Foreigners, based on their ability on the hotel's language, aren't looked upon that well, because if you're Portuguese on a English hotel - it's quite annoying, but as long as you can handle the whole 'correct grammar' business, you're fine.
Step 6: Experience
Even if you can't get staff in the first place, you can always make a beta hotel on hamachi or on localhost for free - just so you have technical experience, owners like that. You can find out how to make r63 hotels by going ]Here[/URL]

Step 7: Loyalty
Loyalty is a good thing, to a certain point - you shouldn't be a kissup because that annoys owners very badly. Be loyal by waiting for a hotel to be back up if it's down on maintenance or it appears to be DDoSed or hacked. Also, loyalty as in not going on any other hotels and sticking to that one you chose.
Step 8: Donating
Donate money through PayPal, PayGol, or Onebip! Owners love the helping hand they need it! Buy VIP or be a nice person and donate a few pounds/dollars/euros (or whatever currency you use!)

A nice little guide, however following everyone one of these steps will never gurantee you staff, it simply gives you slightly bigger chance than someone that does none of these.
