Hey guys, was just thinking what you guys would think of the shoutbox to have options as to where you could select whether or whether not you would like it to show up every time someone replies/creates a thread. And also be able to block users (By not hearing their shout) with the exception users not being able to do it to staff..

Tell me what you think.

I'd love being able to ignore a user, but replies and thread posts popping up never has bothered me.

Was just an idea due to the fact sometimes you get spammed by the shear amount of people replying to a thread at one time, but thanks for your reply.

Thats exactly why I said make an option for it..

I like the ignore option, but the thread one.. I would say should stay.

Edit: the photo one, I doubt would ever happen.. to big.. and people could upload porn..

The font would look stupid, everyone using different shit.. it would look weird.


Also, the amount of errors the chatbox already gets.. to be honest it needs to be updated.. A new chatbox system needs to be in place before we add shit Also: XFshout is sooo last year!

I don't think there is a feature for this yet.

xFshout is a dead project and there are no updates.
TaigaChat is not as good as xFshout but there is a new 'pro' version coming out, may be better for devbest?

The only awesome part in this suggestion is the ability to block users from seeing their shouts on the shoutbox.

With the font styling and the ability to embed/upload images as mentioned above...

No thank you... everyone will make the shoutbox look gay then. Just like when there were sub giveaways and there were so-called gay pride campaign, which is a joke. DevBest wouldn't look decent then too.

I like block users but showing replies is what makes the shoutbox look less bland

Sounds like a good idea, but it'll take time to integrate such things to the shoutbox.
