Alright well I've been subject to bullying when I was younger like I'm sure almost every person reason this thread has been too. I'll be honest to say that I did it a bit as well when I was younger, ignorant and very foolish and do very much so regret it just as every bully does. I've found most of the people I can remember that I did bully through Habbo to apologize and try to make it right. It wasn't like I was a bully all the time, but I did like to talk shit.

As I've been growing up, I've seen at least 4 cases of children killing themselves due to online bullying. It's either because someone said something about them not being beautiful when everyone is, it's just that not everyone's beauty is the same and you're the only one that can let that shine. EVERYONE is beautiful.

Unfortunately a few of these cases are from even Habbo itself. Not to mention the countless damaged egos and confidence from a lot of kids. So many kids are so evil to point out the most random thing and tear someone down for it. BUT HEY! In the end it's just a body. It's what's inside that counts.

Anywho, today and in the past I've tried contacting one person in a friendly manor, but he's a cruel bully who I've decided to make an example of. I initially contacted him because of his tutorial posted on how to set up a new UI retro after not being around since the V26 days. He had posted his Skype as well..

I contact him today after a while because I was bored and being completely friendly. This is what the conversation had turned into. I noticed he was being very cruel for next to no reason so I trolled him a bit as well. The convo is quite long but worth the read for an example, here it is:

So overall he told a person who he thought was 14 to go "Kill yourself pls" "Seriously, go kill yourself". If he had found out that the supposed 14 year old did kill himself, would he care? Maybe, and if he was a normal human being and did care, it would follow him the rest of his life and he could never be the same knowing that he truly was the the person who encouraged a 14 year old to go kill themselves.

After just looking at his profile, he tells that to others as well to kill themselves and if you look at the other comments, you'll notice that lots of people really appreciate his tutorial made and think he's a great guy, but then what if he told a real impressionable 14 year old he's a stupid noob who should go kill himself.. what if he did?

This guy is 18 and truly hasn't grown up. When you grow up you stop being that bully and finally realize the problems behind it with why you treat another person that way. You realize that it was a horrible thing and you regret it all. Why have regrets?

So many more great things will happen for you if you're positive and nice! See the positive in the world and ignore the negative, that's the only way you'll go forward in life. Only seeing the negative will keep bringing you down. 1+2 = 3+1 = 4,etc 1-1=0 0-1 = 0-1=0, etc. See where I'm going with this? Negitivity will get you nowhere. Positivity will get you to places you've never known or seen before.

Basicly what you did here is make a fool out of yourself and spread a private conversation between you and a fellow DevBest member, making him look bad. It's not even that - you even provoked him to do it. What does this make you? Right, this also makes you a cyber bully, and thus a hypocrite. You even dedicated a whole thread to it, making it look like that isn't the purpose of this thread.

You aren't really smart I suppose after I read this sentence. You posted a thread which totally sets a DevBest member in a bad light, out of something that happened in private. 50% of the thread is about Nippy. You intended to make him feel bad - and making people feel bad is what a bully does. Yes, you are a hypocrite. Why should I reply statistics and facts about the bullying subject in general through a PM? If the bullying really is your main concern in this thread - you would have included some important information about the subject, which you didn't.

Rules... lmfao. You're either incredibly naive or incredibly stupid (probably both). This is not some utopian society where everyone is perfect. Life is full of good and bad people and if you are affected by WORDS and coward out by committing suicide, then I say good riddance. There are far worse things in this world than WORDS and the insecurities that come with it.

Meh you can also google as well if you wanted to find them. I was well aware and it's a thread. Heck, people posting releases or any other threads don't cover every single base to make sure every single persons preference is satisfied. In the end I provided valid facts.

Hmm is there such thing as a white hat troller? Or as some people on the internet know them as white knights? Bottom line is that I acted that way instead of bringing the same hateful and cruel comments back to him. I used humour instead rather than ignoring a problem that will continue. Soo it's either I let this to continue or be like everyone else and do shit all while the problem still continues. His feelings I'm sure are barely hurt. What he could have done to a fragile and insecure person though could have been a lot worse, and the possibility based on the statistics is undeniable.

Please provide me facts of how I wasn't a decent actor of a 14 year old? He can come to me any time and let me know he will change his ways and I'd take it down and maybe try to talk to him. Problem is that people's egos especially in these development forums are too big to even have a mature conversation half the time or people just simply don't keep their word or are honest so it's hard to believe anyone to be a genuine person.

Like it or not a lot of the countries in the world have give or take half the population active in online communities. The statistics show that things like this example could have been a very well unsuspecting 14 year old who was just torn down to the point where he already has suicide speculations, but this tipped him over the edge. There has been lots of suicidal thoughts, self inflicted pain, and suicides. Most of these people just wanted some positivity and love. Someone to see how beautiful they are.

Overall, whether or not people like this thread it is something that will make this user think twice no matter how controversial it may be. Like it or not it's getting a few more views from the links I'm sharing. Like it or not, this is the type of example and thread that maybe, just maybe... one person will see and be like damn.. I didn't know that it could have had that much of a hurtful effect on that person. Well to that person:

You are not a "White hat troller" or a "White knight". If you had a small amount of intelligence, you would have stopped the conversation. And that doesn't only count for you, it counts for everyone who's being "hurt" in such private conversations. You block the person and delete him. You don't continue to provoke him and make stupid remarks - because you just ASK for it. You did not provide ANY facts, and the only one you do have is that conversation which isn't even actual proof.

What should this thread make someone aware? Please quote me the part of your thread which should make bully's aware of what they are doing. Most of them are, because when you bully it is your intention to make someone feel bad. And your intention in this thread was to make feel bully's bad - which makes you a hypocrite, and it doesn't matter how much dictionaries you quote.

@Donovan I will admit there was an angry undertone I had while I was writing it. What truly triggered it was as soon as he said "like seriously, go kill yourself.". I looked at his remark as if it were serious like he asked and did get angry.

I've had a few friends I've known of who inflicted extreme pain on themselves, I've known friends who have attempted suicide, I've known people in communities who actually have commit suicide and "Seriously, killed themselves" and have volunteered at a summer BBQ that was for kids who had a suicide pact because of the hurtful things their parents say, and other kids. I've counselled the ones that were close to me the best I could as a friend. I learned each time is that they just needed someone to care, someone to actually say "you're worth it" or to just try their best to do something about it.

Now whether or not you all want to just chock it up to being adolescence and puberty, this is still happening and you're the ones that are clearly ignoring this fact. I am so eager to debate this because this is what an activist does. I'll admit I'm a bit harsh in this thread, that is because I have no little compassion if his feelings may be hurt because of this.

After realizing he has absolutely none for others by not jokingly telling people to kill themselves, but reiterating that he's serious with this claim well I decided that I couldn't take the chance that if one of these few people in the stats who commit, have thoughts about it, or inflict pain were to see this after being nice no matter how much pain they might have they might lose hope in the world if they were to take him seriously.

My point I'm trying to get across is that no matter how much you might want people to read the hidden lines or ignore people, it clearly doesn't happen. Look at how effective bullies are, cybar bullying, bullying in general. If that's not something imporant that happened in a brutal way in this conversation, please tell me you also deny the facts in the statistics given in post #6.

I am not denying the facts in the article, but I am saying your so called example just makes your whole point look like how Conchita Wurst should be a female.

Because like I said multiple times, you provoked Nippy. If someone who is being bullied keeps provoking the person who is being the bully and thanks to being bullied gets suicide thoughts - that person is really dumb.

This subject is going on for ages. It's a hot topic. And your thread should what, raise awareness? "Spread the love"?

Your whole fascade makes me sick. Everyone knows your real motive for all this. If you want to proof otherwise, rewrite the thread with more facts and not only YOUR examples and YOUR "experiences".
