Hello Devbest,

So i'm using MyBB, running an anime anime Fansub forum, And i started getting spambots first it was 1 then 2 then they came like everyday
I had registration set on automatic registration, Thought that was the cause so i changed it to email activation. But they still come.

Any way i can stop them? Any help is welcome.

Im not too sure on the mybb settings.
However why not set a custom captcha?? Eg. a unique question only humans would guess (not sure if mybb supports this but vb & xen does)

There's a few plugins on another forum related to myBB Spambots, I remember when I used to use myBB I had downloaded one and it prevented all spam bots from coming.

I use that a lot when I'm making MyBB forums.

Also, here's a MyBB forum that I made for a hotel that didn't even start about a year ago. It had 11k posts (all spam) and I didn't even realize it until the domain ran out a few days ago, lol.

Try setting custom questions on sigh up such as "What is 4+3?" and so on, worked for me before.

People could easily bypass that, unless you had a randomized system.

Use a captcha.
