Suggestion: If someone releases something with eg. a .exe format, a virustotal scan is mandatory.

A virus scan can be faked, most users check for virus scans before they download anyway.

What Handy said, it's really stupid to provide a virus scan. However there is a post in our news section telling users to check the download prior downloading.
