[REQ]Chat box

I've never made a chatbox before and all the tutorials are flat file, or don't work in my situation.
I already have a user login system, and all that fancy shit but I'm using a XAT Chatbox because YOLO.
But I need to change it to an actual chat box that gets the username from the login system I previously have.
Any help?
