I'm guessing atleast one or two of our residents here at DevBest from the UK have applied to university and hence have written a personal statement. Well, I'm currently in the process of writing my

and to be quite frank - it's nigh impossible to make it sound good without sounding snobby and too self confident. So I've created this thread to see if you have any tips/suggestions because I don't have a clue how to go about this.

I hate biology too! I don't see how you're applying though? You've just left school?

In Scotland we go straight from school to university, as it lasts four years rather than 3 as it does in England. Most people in England go to College before going to Uni. I'm currently in sixth year studies.
