It's a application.
Which has a built in browser, each section of the application uses a different directory of it's main online domain.
Connect takes you to the directory and secondary news feed where you can go to other websites inside the domain.
E.g:
Blabab.com/73923/
Blabab.com/27438/
These links are on one domain, but each directory has it's own world in there. So the number is like a separate domain. (A Sub-Domain but it doesn't have its own domain name).

I've cleaned some of the comments, if you don't have good feedback for @caution3 or just post unrelevant stuff, don't bother posting at all. You can be negative about it, but use arguments and a normal way of communication.

So, i'm just gonna estimate that i'm probably annoying everyone for making so many posts so this will be the final post i'll make about myNET for a while and just keep this one active. For everyone's sanity i'm guessing. =3.

Imagine myNET like Minecraft MultiPlayer. You have a list of servers. In Minecraft, you can connect and play with other people. But in myNET, it loads up websites subbed into different domains. myNET Client weaves all of those different servers into a linked directory wiki. (Think of the Hidden Wiki on the dark web if you can; A service list and article onion site).
This is why myNET has a client to access these pages as it is too hard to access them in normal browsers.
myNET usually pieces multiple websites together to make it's NetService. Such as:
  • News Feed 2.0 - Requires connection to 2 Subdomains; The Images and The Base.
  • Update Servers - The file is split into 3 pieces across different domains, That's why updates take so damn long.
  • myNET Directory (Was the old news feed) - This is actually one chunk of unnamed data downloaded to myNET and ran inside a HTML Viewer.
  • The NetSites - They are the user hosted sites. They run under directories with a name thats a string of numbers. [Please be aware that i desperately need users to have their own sites on myNET.]
At the moment, there is no user hosted NetSites. Only two official ones and one of them has been closed since i realized that you can link yourself to other sites with it. Such as the download repositories. I would never bring myself to allow that on official sites.

To summarize, myNET is something for both people interested in hosting a website or using websites.
It's like a public Intranet.

Current Official Services Hosted:
  • myCAPA BBS - CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. It was a basic communications service that ran like facebook kind of.
  • my891 - An Artwork Platform anyone can use.
Now that i have described the server, let's see what needs to be done...

I need people willing to manage and create their own type of community.
I'm willing to advertise some services in the News Feed for free if you service seems like great idea, otherwise, your service will be put in the directory. But i'm sure i can be easily impressed. You can either set up a service by you messaging me what you want and i'll provide you a list of Software packages that may interest you then eMail you a desired username and a randomised password. OR, you can directly send me the package of files you wish for me to install on you server. What type of Package you give me determines which domain i place it on and what NetNumber you receive.
Some rules apply to hosting:

  • myNET, depending on what country you live in, may be illegal in your area. Please look up if your region has no laws against viewing explicit content.
  • The laws in your region, PLUS Australian Law, also apply in what is permitted, in most cases, do not distribute Child Pornography, illicit objects and other content that you know is illegal in Australia and your region.
  • Having a server on myNET comes responsibility. If you are intending or allowing your service to allow 18+ content, let me know or you may find your service been deleted without warning.
  • Neither I or any other developers of myNET are responsible for what happens on your service. If illegal content is found on your site, your service will be instantly wiped and content may be traced back to it's owners and authorities could be possibly involved.
To apply, just PM me.

I need people to use the myNET Client.
myNET Client is on the DevBest Market. Just download it, set it up and try it out! If you find bugs with your client, let me know ASAP because i care about the community that uses myNET.

Thank you, caution3.
So what do you expect to accomplish with this. What is your goal?

Good Question, @NathanCarn3y!
Since I am an amateur programmer with only basic knowledge, my expectations of this project being actually successful are pretty low.
My goals with this project are to immerse myself with the use of MySQL to Client which I will make full use of in the next version of myNET.
By the time that myNET reaches 1.0, I'll be completely comfortable with the process of web and application development and be able to take harsh criticism from people and to learn to ignore pointless hate or pacify it.
It was an idea that floated out of one of my school teachers mouth during an S.T.E.M. session and I was like: "Hey, that's a darn good idea!" and so, myNET was born.
At the moment, myNET Client is based on NeoScript, which I'm pretty sure is Visual Basic but with simplified Functions.
This whole project is being developed by me and a friend called Pyro_INC in which he moderates and manages problems with the server.
I'm gonna be honest, it does seem pointless, but both of us are finding this a great way to learn about development.
In another case of why we are publicly introducing this other than getting feedback, we want people to host and visit servers inside an isolated community hidden away from search engines.
Thank you!
