Jammed Finger

Today, I was playing basketball with a couple of my friends. Then, my steroid junkie friend decided to throw the basketball like a football at my other friend. Having reflexes, I tried to grab the ball and ended up jamming my finger. Any idea, how I can treat it? (I've had many jammed fingers before but never paid attention to it.)

Depending on how bad it is, you can miss some steps out of there.

Isn't that for allergies? Try taking asprin and put ice on it. put the ice in a bag, wrap the bag in a dish towel and apply to finger. if it gets cold enough to hurt take it off for a few minutes and reapply.

I'd suggest putting ice on it like Macemore said and taping it to the finger next to it for support.
