In-Game Codes (Emulator) and SWF

This has been always confusing to me that in-game codes can affect SWF files (like a furni's image). For example, when we change state of a color tile (by either clicking "Use" button or double clicking at it), "ObjectUpdate" message packet is sent by server to client(s) and the tile's color changes. Okay, but HOW? How a piece of code can affect SWF files?=?=?=? I can understand the code can affect database since it obviously contains a sqlconnection or smth like that, but it doesn't seem like it accesses to SWF of the related furni. So how can a piece of code affect a SWF file? Please a clear explanation....... . .. .
