[HELP] iOS App Theme Ideas

Ok, i have started work on a 2D side scrolling game for the iOS,
I am unsure on a theme, I do have a few ideas in mind however im unsure what to do?

My current options:

1. Create my own theme/own sprites etc...
2. Use a theme from an existing game (eg, Minecraft - I create sprites based off minecraft items)

Using my own theme gives it a unique look
Using a Minecraft theme restricts the people that could possibly download the app

Suggestions are welcome

Create a Theme You'll Get Hits instead of using the apple logo you can use DevBest's or a custom logo of your own plus if making your own theme there are more Chances and Possiblilitys of it getting Big Hits
