Having problems with SWFs

When importing an swf into any hex editor, i get these weird symbols instead of the usual text. The fact that it shows in any editor makes me think that it's the swfs that are the problem.

Yes. But also happens to files which i havent decompiled.

What software you using?

Using JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler. Might have misunderstood the idea in decompiling. Isn't it just a tool to edit swfs?

"When importing a swf into any hex editor" why are you expecting plain text in a hex editor. Download Leensters furni editor it should suit your needs better

I'm unsure what my purpose with the furni editor would be. I just want to replace the old name of the furni to the new one in the actual swf. I suppose.

Yea, and when i get to the step with hex editor, i see the weird symbols instead of the text like in the tutorials. Also happens if i try and load it with notepad++

Seems to be an issue with your SWF's.

It doesn't happen to any of you?? Has been for all my swfs
