1. Which game has a better storyline?
gta 4 only focused on one character, niko's story left you more attached to the character and had alot of content.
gta 5's story was good too, but some might not like swapping between 3 characters because the depth for each character feels lacking.

2. Which game has better online? (Multiplayer)
gta 5, it has player housing, vehicles insurance etc. gta 4's online mode was a "Free for all" arcade type of setup, with only random guns and health packs on the map.

3. Which game has better vehicles?
gta 5, i think we all know why. Though, gta 4's sultanRS sounds better.

4. Which game has better characters?
Franklin was pretty cool in gta 5. But again, in terms of a single character, the fact that gta 4 focused on only niko, gta 4 left you attached more and witnessing their perception more vividly.

6. Which game has better mods?
This question could spawn alot of salt. Personally i think the modders on gta 4 were more talented and creative.
A majority of gta 5's mods seem to be lacky ports or copies of old gta 4 mods (like lspdfr. it was better on gta 4 100%). But then again, i haven't experimented with enough mods to judge so harshly.

7. Which game takes place in a better city?
I like Liberty City more aesthetically, but the higher number of activities to do in Los Santos made it feel more interactive and fun than gta4.

8. Which game has better police A.I./System?
gta 4. Usually when the argument of "gta 4 vs gta 5" is brought up, the very first point brought up is the euphoria physics engine in gta 4. Bullet impacts on peds are more real, driving is more realistic, though annoying. Police in gta 4 are also more lenient and realistic, if you haven't killed anyone yet regardless of the star, the police will pursue with with firearm out, not shooting right away.

9. Would you play GTA 4 over GTA 5 if it became popular again and the userbase came back?
No, I would just do that myself now. I play mods solo anyways, gta4 is just done for me at this point. I had my fun with it, onto the next.

I personally prefer GTA V as the mods are a lot better purely down to the graphics and how advanced they've been taken. Especially the police mods which are mainly created by Albo.
