Im using xampp 1.7.3, should I use an older version, and if so what kind?

K so i made a v26, but, I imported rp.sql into the localhost/phpmyadmin
Can I use a v26 server even if I have an rp db?
And if I can, my server dose nothing when I go on hotel
Bar loads and says oops cant connect to hotel

Ok, so i've been trying to get my client to work and it wont.
The server closes when I open it, and that kinda shit.
So, i was wondering If i could edit the client and use and old school
and use bloodline server for it.
