These are two wallpaper designs I made for a bud on youtube:

To much effects, barely readable.

 

[Jump]

Not too bad, you could have maintained the text being readable by running it through a distortion filter and fade (apply the distortion then immediately go to edit > fade [your choice of distortion] and apply the opacity to around 50). Either way, I quite like the top one.

First one is nice, looks like you know how to control your brushes properly.
Second one isn't nice at all, I can see you went for the 3D effect with 'grunge' look but didn't work.

7.0/10 overall.
