GTA SA Please help me making a server!

If someone could help me make a SA:MP server it would mean allot, and please help me change the map and add cars etc.​

I got it to work with localhost, but I would like to make it public. (any help?)

If you have a VPS you shouldn't have to portforward anything?

Sometimes if you have a Virtual Private Server you have to allow the ports in the firewall

Edit:

Windows 2008 R2 Server:
Server Manager -> firewall -> Add rules for incoming and outgoing P.S: for outgoing the third tab hit allow connection

Windows 2012 R2 Server:
Server Manager -> Tools -> Windows filewall -> then continue steps above ^^

I've portfowarded it and it works with the IP but it doesn't want to work with the IP address

If you're using a VPS don't trust those port checkers, simply try it yourself and see if it works.
