Buy ddos proxy protection.

Only side effect I can think of Cloudflare is that you will no longer be able to see IPs of your users - all you will see is Cloudflare IPs. This basically means you cannot ban IPs or do anything else to do with IPs.

Other than that, it will most likely improve your site performance.

Use a good host. (CODE: VINNIE - 10% off) or Nodecabin (scroll to top of page)
Buy DDoS protection. That's the only way to avoid most DDoS attacks.
Never trust anyone with your server, it is best to do things yourself.
Don't get affiliated with top hotel owners.

Apparently they have good services and they actually do work, heard of a few people who use them, try them out?
Also yeah, as you'll need a good host otherwise you'll go down all the time.

Don't advertise on top 15 retros, Use IIS, Find a proper security. Don't use cloudflare because most premium booters come with CloudFlare Resolver.
