I love Mac for the simple stability and UI from it; however a lot of things it does bothers me. Such as its full screen behavior; which is bothersome as I'd love to full screen with the dock still being shown. But in terms of affordability, Mac is probably the best to go with unless you plan on updating your computer yearly. Apple insures Macs work good for at least 5+ years after their release and smoothly. Meanwhile, I have issues getting Windows to run without weird bug outs.
If you're not going with a high budget; use an older version of Windows rather than Linux. Linux is good but misses a lot of the big software that people like to work with while also being hard to work with if you're new.
