Setting a background image for the page container.

So I am trying to set a background for the page container but haven't figured on how to do it.
I've tried:

#page-container {
background-image: url(link)
background-repeat: blabla
}

but none of that works. I've googled the issue and saw this think talking about imageview or something but yea. Why not ask Devbest

Well then obviously you're not linking your index page to the stylesheet...

This should work, and like he said on another post make sure your stylesheet is linked using this:

    <link href="./styles/global.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

You must provide the width. Then it will work.

background-image: url('') repeat;
width: 100px;
height: 100%; or just leave it blank.

So instead of setting a background image for the container I have decided to make it for the content section. This is the code in my CSS.

The background should show up behind the slider and text.
It's not halp pls.
