Hello Devbest users, this is a tutorial on how to make a phpretro Hope its helpfull

Downloads: -Download when Told-
1) PHPRetro - NEW WORKING LINK!
2) WinRAR -
3) MySQL ODBC Driver 5.1 -
4) XAMPP Control Panel -
5) Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition -
6) TortoiseSVN -

So let's get started.

First of all download Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition

Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition -

Downloading Holograph Emulator

1) Download Tortoise SVN ( ) and restart your system.
2) Create a new folder on your desktop via. Right-click on desktop>New>Folder and call it "Holograph Emulator"
3) Right click on your Holograph Emulator and select the option "SVN Checkout"
4) In the first field type in this link:
5) Now click ok, and wait until the upload of files into your Holograph Emulator has finished.
Good job! You now have Holograph Emulator installed on your system.

Setting up XAMPP

1) Download MySQL ODBC Driver 5.1 ( )
2) Download XAMPP Control Panel ( )
3) After you install XAMPP Control Panel, open it up and click start on both Apache and MySQL and leave it open
4) Now go to or and select your language (most probably english)
5) Make sure your XAMPP Control Panel is running at all times!
6) Now go to or
7) Setup a password (this is a password you need to keep safe, secure and never forget). Then click the 'Change Password' option.
Good job! You now have installed and setup XAMPP Control Panel!

Uploading PHPRetro

1) Go to you're start menu and search for C:\xampp\htdocs
2) Delete EVERYTHING in that folder
3) Download PHPRetro ( ) and WinRAR
and open it with WinRAR
4) Extract ALL the files in PHPRetro to your htdocs (C:\xampp\htdocs)
Good job! You now have PHPRetro installed!

Setting up the database

1) Go to or
2) Where it says create a new database type in holodb and click 'Create'
3) You now have a database but you still need to import the retro files
4) Click on your database (holodb) on the left hand side and then click the Import button (between Export and Description or
(Ctrl+F it)
5) Click choose file and import the Database in your Holograph Emulator folder (Holograph Emulator\Resources\db\holodb.txt)
6) Just wait until it's done...!
Good job! You now have created your hotel's database!

Installing your hotel

1) Go to your Holograph Emulator folder located on your desktop
2) Go to Go to Holograph Emulator\bin\debug\bin\mysql.ini and open mysql.ini
3) Open mysql.ini in a text document (you will need to change some of the text) Notepad etc.
4) Fill in the details (something like this):
[mysql]
host=localhost
port=3306
database=holodb
username=root
password=password
5) Simply change the password to the XAMPP password you setup earlier.
6) Then save it.
7) Now go to or
8) An installer should appear on your browser for PHPRetro
9) Go through the installer writing out all the details asked



Setting up DCR's, Variables and texts.

1) Go to Housekeeping on your website or or
2) Go to Loader settings.
3) There will be 3 fields: Habbo DCR/Variables/Texts
4) Fill in as:
Texts -
Variables -
DCR -

Yeah use ceejays dcrs for rp


and if anyone wants a rp i suggest using rastalulz phpretro and emu

this is copied i remember this tutorial but it is changed a litle bit this is better english but you has copie it

Nice tutorial but you could include some diagrammed pictures for more information and would make you're tutorial easier to understand.

Very nice tutorial, I have noticed this tutorial is a little to advanced for the n00bs maybe add a couple of screenies.

Really the majority of the audience who will need the tutorial will be new to the whole retro business so I agree with the pictures and nicely set out paragraphs maybe in steps just stating as there is a lot of tutorials on Dev Best already so if you edit and make it more understandable this could be used more.

its not copyed cause i did it when i was making my retro i was writing step by step the way on how to do it just incase i messed up
