PHP Banners?

I remember back in the day, hotels used to have banners showing the online count? this would be amazing to bring back tbh, but im sure it was removed for a good reason. but again, would be cool to see it back in some way.

They used to be included with a link. That way you can manipulate the image. Currently we are requiring you to upload the banner.

Allowing external images gives a bunch of issues. First of them being SSL. If a non-secure image is being loaded, this can give issues for FindRetros. It also opens up a possibility for abuse. All by all, I don't think this would be a solid idea for this day and age.
