MySQL Error

What have you set for the hostname in the configuration file? Because it looks as if it doesn't have permissions to connect to the MySQL server.

I put the VPS ip, however if i put it on localhost it wont even display the webpage :/

Put it on localhost, not the VPS IP. Also is this a fresh install of MySQL and PHP?

I'll just reinstall xampp.

Do not even use XAMPP, you should use Apache or IIS if anything.
